MUSLIM HIP HOP NIGHT IN OPA-LOCKA
B-boys and B-girls, DJs, emcees, and Hip Hop heads unite under the arabesque skyline of Opa-locka—known for the largest collection of Moorish Revival architecture in the Western hemisphere. Hip Hoppa Locka remixes multiple references in a celebration of Muslim artists in Hip Hop—highlighting female forerunners in particular.
Featuring: B-girls Amirah Sackett and Mary Mar, emcee Aja Black/ The Reminders, DJ sets by Asad Ali Jafri, the unveiling of a new work by muralist Cita Sadeli CHELOVE & more!
